So my question is: what is your motivation?

Is it underperforming?

Is it just idle curiosity, restlessness, too much time on your hands, or some other state of mind? While I have some sympathy for any of these “reasons”, they’re not usually a good reason for rewriting valuable code that works. For those cases, creating a new project that allows you to explore them hamlessly is likely a better idea.
