From the perspective of Dave’s question, JSON is the same thing as a plist except it doesn’t support NSData or NSDate. It’s not going to offer any benefits.*

* Obviously I’m aware that JSON does have the benefits of interoperability and readability, but neither of those are relevant to what Dave is asking for, which is just to archive some objects.
