Obtaining the color of the screen at a known point

I have an iOS app in which the user touches the screen, and I need to read the color of screen at the touched point. How can this be done in iOS 9.3? The only solution I could find uses CGDisplayCreateImageForRect() and CGDisplayAddressForPosition(), which apparently no longer exist.
