If you want to ignore a spelling across all applications, you use the Learn
command.

Ignore is specifically for ignoring the spelling only in the current document.
(Imagine if you're writing a paper about the famous Dutch economist Piet Thier.
You would like to ignore that spelling in that document, but _not_ in all docs,
because in most cases it's a typo for "their".)
