The problem here is that you seem unwilling to take a little time to learn the basics of Interface Builder. Don’t you think that would be time better spent than beating for hours on a problem that would take a developer experienced with IB a few minutes?
You cannot program effectively using Cocoa without knowing how to use IB. The POINT of IB is to save you having to spend hours coding to set up simple interfaces.
Someone has to point out the elephant in this particular room.
