Subject: scanning at >400% input factor
Date: Mon, Aug 27, 1956, 9:51 AM
greetings,
I9m just recently scanning a 35mm positive slides at 400% input factor.
Using linotype-hell TOPAZ flatbed scanner. Setting up 200 lpi. at my
standard setting. Leaving my filter as uncorrected. Unfortunately image
have grains visible at 100% viewing. I try to descreen at a lowest value,
it9s working but it would defeated my desired resolution. My questions
Are:
1) It would be normal to scan >400% using that original having my crude
result?
2) What must be the preferred input factor for any transparencies to have my
desired resolution.
I am very sure anybody of you guy's can help me with this...
thanks!
and more power!
Rey
