Absolutely agree with you Andrew. Of course Spectrolino is better than DTP-92.
But I think that measure only 3-5 points while calibration procedure is not
enough if you got non linear monitor even if you got spectrophotometer.
Actually it is not possible to compare DTP-92 with Spectrolino in PM3.1,
because DTP-92 doesn't work correctly under PM3.1. But I should say that I got
better result calibrating with Spectrolino in ProveIt than in PM3.1 on my 3,5
years old monitors. And of course the profiling procedure is better in PM3.1,
because you can measure almost any number of patches. But as default LCD
Monitor Reference 2.0 contains almost the same number of patches as ProveIt
does. And of course price is not the last point. :)
