Can somebody help me? I'm breaking my head on this problem:

I have to correct cmyk images saved in DCS 1.0 format from another customer. The imbedded profilename suggests that it's a printerprofile. I correct the scans in photoshop and save them with the same profile. However, the profilename has changed into my cmyk profile.

By extracting the profile from the DCS scans and examine it with profilemanager I discover that it's a 16 bit perceptual scannerprofile with a CMYK to Lab colorspace.

Can somebody explain to me why an inputprofile should have only one CMYK to Lab table? Is that because they use an old scanner? I've never seen such a profile and I can't think of any use of it, exept for me asking this questions to the experts.

Thanks in advance,

Ruud
