Problem is the Epson will use the display profile for the source of the
conversion. You'd want the RGB Working Space which is what Printer Color
Management achieves. I'd stick with Convert to Profile in PS6 for ALL
conversions. You get a soft proof of your rendering intent, you can play
with Black Point Compensation and dither, you can use the Adobe CMM. The
only downside is speed to process the file but I think the gains are well
worth that minor speed hit.
