Thanks as always for a precise and helpful answer. But are these
differences visually apprehensible (the difference between 2.2 and 1.8
particularly)? Do you end up recommending 1.8 then?
Side note: anyone care to provide a concise definition of gamma? I recall
fuzzily that it is a Greek designation from an actual equation having to do
with the relation of the voltage to the electron guns and the brightness
value which results. Then again I could be pulling that out of my black
point...
