Hi everybody
I have been reading post's about the best setup for Mac monitor should be
G2.2 and D65. I have used both G1.8 D50 and G1.8 D65 and tried to setup the
same with G2.2 and even G2.5 (the default setting in the Sony 21" profile).
I go with G1.8 D65 since other application than PS6 do not have the same ICC
support (LivePicture, Freehand and others...) and when the montior is setup
to G2.2 the images do not look right on those applications. Besides I have
alway thought that the "standard" on the mac platform is G1.8. I also use
G1.8 as my default for BW work. I have one hardware calibrated monitor
(Lacie) and two Apple 21" Studio displays and two IBM P260 (Sony FD 21"). I
have used the internal calibration with apple monitors and that has worked
really well, even the IBM's calibrated with Adobe Gamma turn out pretty
well. The Lacie however is always a bit too bright in contrast with the
others.
I want to buy a hardware calibration kit for my montiors. Can I buy one
kit/incl a measureing device that I can use on all the monitors?
Chris
