I have encountered the following problem when using edited profiles(4/c)
in photoshop 6.0. After editing my original 4/c profile(lets call it A)
using profilemaker 3.1 I saved the new profile as B. I then selected
this profile B as my working space in ps 6.0. I have my policies set to
preserve embedded profiles and to ask when opening for mismatches and
missing profiles. I then opened an image that has my original
profile(A) imbedded and the image opens with-out any warning of a
mismatch. The profile(A) is displayed at the bottom of the image(a
great thing in ps6.0). If I then change the working space to any other
4/c profile from my colorsync folder and then open the same image(A), I
get the mismatch warning. Is there something within my edited profile
that makes photoshop think its the same profile as it originally was? I
even named it completely different but to no avail. rebooted etc etc.
Any clues?
Thanks
