In Windows 98, click on the Start button on the task bar, then select Run.
Type in MSCONFIG, press enter. Click on the last folder heading (labeled
Startup), and uncheck the box for Adobe Gamma. You can also check here to
see if anything else might be loaded that is conflicting. Most of the stuff
in here doesn't show up in the Programs / Startup menu.
