The Postscript support is excellent (Postscript 3), it handles postscript
from all Mac DP apps as well as all PC DP apps very very well. I will also
accept files in Tiff, Jpeg, TGA, EPS, Scitex CT/Linework, Sun, SGI and PDF
(YES!, native PDF support!). You can drag and drop any of those files into
the RIP and they just chug on out.
It runs $1,495 for the single version (runs one device) and $1,995 for the
dual version (runs two or more devices). To get the package of drivers for
the mid-level Epson inkjet printers (7000-9500) will cost an extra $1,000.
It's still a steal compared to some of the competition, and nobody has the
features or quality they do.
I used to be a fan of the Wasatch SoftRip, but I'm a convert now.
