And thank goodness for that ... -:).
a. Pshop 5 always displayed CMYK and CIELab via a working space. This was
entirely illogical. Say in the ProfileMaker ProfileEditor you would use a
workaround and set Pshop 5 to simplied monitor in order to make the profile
chains as similar as possible.
b. Pshop 5 always altered a LUT-based monitor profile using its own
internal mechanism to select and handle the monitor profile.
Both these issues have been fixed in Pshop 6.
On the Publishing Praxis list (www.publish.de) we had some discussions back
and forth about Pshop 5. The best that can be said of the implementation is
that Pshop 5 was so hard to figure that I doubt anybody really had the
internal architecture chalked up.
