Color proofer recommendation

I have a client who would like a color proofer for a medium sized
design firm. They're looking for color accuracy and something not too
slow. Reliability and day to day costs are an issue as well. It also
needs to be something that can fit into a ICC CMYK/Spot color
workflow, work successfully with profiling, etc. I was considering
recommending an Epson 5000 with the Fiery RIP and setting up an iMac
or similar as a color server running ICC Autoflow to handle the spot
colors better. Does anyone have recommendations for a better printer
in a similar price range (under 10k), or have good/bad things to say
about the 5000? Also, is it possible to have an ICC profile used
within the Fiery RIP?
Thanks.
