I have always had the same wishlist... not so convoluted in the
16bit/8bit issues, but the same need for image resize/unsharp/etc.
partial solutions: take a peek at them:
- Agfa's ColorTune Batch
- Silverfast has a batch module that can process TIFF files, and does
resolution/unsharp/icc, but not tagged and not 16bit, I believe... and
hot folder, I don't know...
- In PC, there's a solution by Ailink (spain) whose name I don't recall,
for PC only, that accesses the Photoshop core (DLL) and can chain
photoshop processes in a sort of script. Very efficient, and capable of
all you want. Those sort of things that only exist for Windoze...
