Dear Neil
Thanks for your response.

The original settings for the queue are used. Can't you set up a queue for
smaller paper?

Well this would not actually help. The problem is that of getting images
out of PhotoShop without any paper space surrounding them. It would mean at
the very least as far as I can see setting a paper size in PhotoShop exactly
matching the image size, and doing a change for every different size image!
The print dialogue box that appears in PhotoShop when using Best RIP simply
does not this facility.
There is no problem when sending a PageMaker document with images to a
queue. They are of course contained within the document itself, and my
guess is that this is how most copies of the software are actually used, so
the problem does not normally arise.
When we purchased this software we told the Bestcolor's agent that we wanted
to proof CMYK images out of PhotoShop in the main.

Many of their clients are saying this. Time for them to listen!
There certainly are some bugs in the software this not being helped by the
manual that doesn't describe the functions very well. Seems all too often
that the developers pass onto new versions when what we are really looking
for are solutions for using what we already have.

Well how's this for their today's response when I copied this email to them
for action/assistance. I got a reply that seemed to say they were not
interested in looking after me, and referring me back to the UK distributor
who did not want to help in the first place. Well to be exact, they
would help by way of a site visit. Due to their being a fair distance from
here they would charge a day's travel and a day on site!!!! This from the
UK agent. Great support guys.
