Sorry for being vague before, maybe this explanation will help:
In Linocolor 6, I am batch processing images. In this case, the image
I'm using is a tasty lemon-pepper chicken :-) RGB tiff image.
In the setup, I have set the Color Assist to "corrected," and
de-selected all color corrections. All other dropdown options are set to
"uncorrected" to avoid any leftovers. Also, The File Type is TIFF CMYK,
and the Profile is a custom MatchPrint profile (the color space of our
proofing system).
I do not see where the rendering intent is selected.
I drop the image in the hot folder, and wait for the converted image.
Then, I open Photoshop 5.5 for a second conversion of the original
image. As I open, I 'convert', and perform my RGB to CMYK conversion
upon opening. The 'from' profile is the profile which is embedded in the
RGB image, the 'to' is my CMYK Color (CMYK setup is set to the same
custom MatchPrint profile). The Heidelberg CMM is selected, perceptual
rendering intent is used, and black generation is off.
Opening both files in Photoshop, side-by-side, the CMYK values are
vastly different.
The two variables I have identified are: 1) what is my rendering intent
in Linocolor, and 2) should the black generation be 'on' in Photoshop?
For the second question, I usually leave black generation 'off' for RGB
to CMYK conversions.
Any guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

The CMM is not the likely problem, but rendering intent, RGB workspace,

your discrepancy. Can you elaborate?
