I want to thank everyone for their patience during the upgrade. I'm happy to
announce that the new lists.apple.com machine is online, and everything
seems stable and working properly.
You should have received a subscription message when we loaded your address
into the new system with directions on how to modify or remove your
subscription. If you have instructions from the old server, please throw
them away -- they're useless now and might confuse things later.
You have probably noticed that we've renamed the machine to
"lists.apple.com" from "public.lists.apple.com" -- both addresses will
continue to work for the forseeable future, but we encourage folks to get
used to using the new address.
Currently we do not yet have the archives or the non-Apple mailing list
directory on-line. We should have those available within a few days. We will
post a note to the list when the archives are available, or you can look for
it off the list page on www.lists.apple.com.
If you have a problem or run into a glitch, please let us know at
email@hidden. We have a lot of mail backlogged because of the
upgrade, so be patient and we'll get to things as quickly as we can.
Sincerely,
Chuq Von Rospach, Software Gnome
