You say that ProfilerPRO offers functions not included in MonacoPROOF.

I am aware of GCR and UCA controls. Are there other functions?
I don't have them both in front of me at the moment to do a feature
comparison, but yes, there are other functions. ProfilerPRO 2.1 offers full
control of the black generation curve, so you can set the toe and the shape,
plus actual undercolor addition control, rather than having that be a
function of GCR/UCR, and of course total ink and black ink limits. It also
allows profiles to be built from a number of targets, or even with a scanner.

That would be the usual combination, depending on what you already owned, and
what your needs are. Comparing DoctorPRO to Monaco's profile editing is a bit
uneven with DoctorPRO's realtime visual control, and use of most of
Photoshop's global editing tools; frankly the built in profile adjustment
sliders in ProfilerPRO are more comparable. Comparing Monaco's monitor
profiling to the Spyder, with RGB gun balancing would be a bit unfair as
well. And remember you'll need to add the cost of a monitor calibrator to the
Monaco bundle, while a top notch one is included in the ColorVision bundle.
