hello to all
i just wanted to update everyone one the list about my previous problem
we did a monitor calibration shootout with the Eye One, the Lacie Blue Eye
Optical / spectrol combo, profilemaker / spectrol,Optical Spyder combo.
they all produced very good profiles, some better than others (
slightly,being very critical )
the Optical / spyder combo came closest to matching our test target proof,
in contrast,Hue and Saturation.
the Eye One was very good just slightly cyan overall, similar to the Lacie
Blue Eye.
the spectrol using profilemaker was neutral but over saturated, loss of
shadow detail.
maybe profilemaker will support the Eye One,that might be pretty cool.
anyway the outcome was that Optical / Spyder was the best overall, for color
reproduction and the advanced
control of the software was good having target white/ black points, being
able to adjust luminance,
calibrate the sensor and validate the profile.
my problem was a bad spyder which colorvision quickly replaced .
its finally over and everything looks great.
