I used the apple digital color meter to measure the grey background of the
monitor and I got
R 42% G 42.7% B 40.4%
I also used it to measure the colors in the photoshop picker, and I am
assuming it is measuring the colors as displayed on the screen.
55%grey R 45.1% G45.1% B 45.1%
RGB Red R100% G 0 b 0
RGB yellow R 94.5% G 100% B 0
RGB Blue R 27.5% G 0 B 100%
Actually, looking at these numbers it seems impossible that the color picker
is being displayed with that kind of accuracy.
So how does that digital color meter work? And are those monitor grey
values useful? Could I calibrate to an even 50% grey?
So many questions...
