Black generation

This is off subject, but I am having difficulty figuring out black
generation for various devices. I have the GretagMacbeth iProfile bundle and
it has improved my color tremendously, but I am still using the defaults for
black generation.

Has anyone discovered a source for this info? I'm specifically looking for
Epson 1200 and CLC700s/Colorpass 4000+ info.
