There are assorted packages that claim to calibrate LCDs, but the quality of
the results varies with both the quality of the LCD, and how well the package
is optimized for LCDs. Most such solutions are over a thousand bucks, and the
lowest current price option is the Gretag MacBeth EyeOne at $600. This is a
bit pricey for the minimal improvement you will get from a hardware profile
on a PowerBook G3! More affordable alternatives should be available soon.
