Profile LCD's with a sensor ?

Is there any software/sensor package out there that will profile
LCDs?

I purchased ColorBlinds Sequel Imaging sensor with Prove It!
I tried in vain to calibrate my Macintosh Powerbook(Pismo) LCD
screen with the sensor. I finally called tech support who told me
that the sensor will not work with LCDs and to calibrate the
screen manually. I have done so, but was wondering if any
package was available that actually worked with a sensor?

many thanks for the knowledge on this list,
Lee Kilmer
