The metamerism issue can be dealt with quite errectively at the driver level.
The real question is why would you create an input space tailored to an
output gamut? With Photoshop 6's softproofing there is no reason not to use
your scanner or camera space as needed, and a neutral workingspace like
AdobeRGB, which holds the Epson pigment inks quite well.
