Can it really be this simple?
A couple of weeks ago I posted that I was having some
problems with Pagemaker 6.5 with CMYK imports and getting
less than stellar results when printing to my Epson 5000
with the Fiery Rip. All my other apps were printing
beautifully even Pagemaker 6.0.
My solution - no... not stop using Pagemaker - was to edit
the PPD. Under the heading of >General Information and
Defaults< I changed the Default Color Space from RGB to
CMYK. I renamed the PPD file name to distinguish it from the
original PPD and then I also changed the >Model Name< in the
PPD so that Quark would know the difference between the two.
Now my proofs look great and the Postscript code actually
says >DeviceCMYK< as it should. Anyone know if this is all
that may need to be edited? This new PPD will now only be
used with Pagemaker 6.52 when it has CMYK imports.
Thanks,
David Wollmann.
