Apple's program is free, ColorThink is not. But both report the information
I was referring to, namely the number of grid points in the CLUTs. IMO, the
number of grid points in a CLUT for a B2A tag should ALWAYS be odd in order
to avoid interpolation of that very important grid point: white.

In general, more grid points means more accuracy, which is good. But this
also means a larger profile, which in some circumstances may not be deemed
"good" (consider an example where the number of grid points is ridiculously
large, like 500 which could make a profile > 1 Gb). There is a point of
diminishing returns, and I'd say 30 to 40 grid points would be a practical
upper limit.
