So, you tell it what ICC profile was used to convert the RGB target to CMYK
and then it sort of does a "if this profile was used to separate this RGB
testchart, then the CMYK values that were actually PRINTED would/should have
been THIS" and from that knows what the "reference" data is?
But where does the ICC profile/settings come from or how is it created where
I can get as specific as saying "I want these *per channel* ink limits and
this total ink setting and, while you're at it, I'd like this sort of toal
curve applied to each ink...."? Am I delving into the Photoshop 6 Custom
CMYK/ink transfer curves dialog to set all this up and then have PS6 make a
profile out of this?
More questions to follow I'm sure!
