Even with all of the above, any Photoshop
window where an intent choice is presented always defaults to perceptual.
It will remember my relative setting from one time to the next as long as I
don't change the profile, but as soon as I change to a different profile,
the intent switches back to perceptual. Its frustrating to continually be
changing two pull down menus when in fact I want one to stick on relative
colorimetric and stay put ninety percent of the time. Is this situation a
fact of life or am I missing another setting somewhere?
Photoshop (v6) defaults to the 'default intent' of the profile
itself. I use Steve Upton's Colorthink (v1.1
http://www.profilecity.com) to set default CMM and intents for all
basic inkjet output profiles where I use the same intent on an
ongoing basis.
Thanks Joel,
Actually, that link will send people off to my colleagues at Profile City.
