Hello I hope my experiences help someone.
I helped a couple of PhotoLabs here in south Brazil if their Fuji
Frontiers and Durst Epsilon. They could not get the colors right.
The people who sold them did not know nothing about iccs, photoshop
or what so ever (only about paper, chemicals and how to send the
files over). They even said the PC running NT 4 (Front End) that had
the cheap 15" monitor was "WYSWYG" with the prints (what a joke,
really).
So I told the guys to forget about the minilab technicians and do
the every day densitometry and convert the custumers files from
(Adobe RGB) to one iccs I custom made for them in Photoshop (none of
the "rips" accepted taged file or whatever . I've compared the
output profile with some working spaces and Adobe RGB is fine for
source. ( s'RGB is too small).
As long the guys working in the Lab know some about color they will
call someone to profile their machine and use the profile to keep
their color quality runnig ok. Too bad neither Fuji or Durst in
Brazil (or any other place probably) offer custom profile services
to their clients.
Obs: I've already profiled over 500 peripherals and I face these as
internal color quality control (it can change a lot as time goes by),
not some file you can handle over someone and tell converting to that
will be get you WYSWYG of my output. Use and choose a working space
like people who sell digital photos (PhotoDisc, Image Bank...) will
be safer.
Atenciosamente,
Alex Hermann

Does the Fuji Frontier photo printer (Used at Costco) use embedded
profiles? I am using Adobe RGB; should I convert it to a different
space? Does it matter?
Andrew Rodney answered:
It's output space is sRGB so convert to that and send it through...
Fuji calls the output space sRGB, but it has nothing to do with sRGB as we
know it. Better profile your Frontier and convert to your custom Frontier
RGB. BTW they are all very similar and stable. if you have a Frontier
profile you can use that.
