In the CBedit preferences there is a topic paper simulation. If none is
checked, CB uses lightness from L=0-100, just like in Photoshop. Relative
lightness represents black ink checked, absolute lightness represents paper
white with black ink (greyed out) checked. That's it, basically. PS uses
BPC to extend it's capability in source to destination rendering issues.
CBedit does this in a different way as well, with art repro. So the
principles are quite easy and I wonder if you understand CBedit where do you
see entanglements?
