I've pleaded with Color Vision to do this but I'm not holding my breath.

I wish they'd reconsider if that's the case. Maybe they're thinking
supporting the Eye-One would put it and Optical at a price point too close
to the Spyder whereas supporting the Spectrolino, the price doesn't even
come close. I'd still say that an Eye-One/Optical combo or even the Eye-One
Monitor device+Optical would not be direct competition for the Spyder combo.
I think you get to a price point where the device+software is very nearly
the price of the monitor itself, that alone is going to drive a lot of
people down to the Spyder. Or maybe just support the Eye-One for the
"higher-end" Optical software and not in Photo-Cal? Whatever. I for one
would not hesitate recommending an Eye-One Monitor/Optical combo as my
monitor profiling/calibration package of choice for our customers.
But, then again, what the heck do I know? :-)
Cheers,
Terry
