I have a client that is interested in the Apple Cinema Display but needs to
work thru some corporate standards.
The current situation is they use a Minolta CRT analyzer CA100
to verify their luminance/color temp/balance, which is adjusted thru the
Hardware controls.
I have a the optical/spyder combo which I used on the cinema display to
profile it.
My problems are this:
When reading color temp from the LCD with the Minolta CRT analyzer it may
read a temp of 5500 while the Spyder reads will read 6500. In your best
opinions which device is performing the inferior reading? We tested it on
the CRT and had similar results.
They also prefer a certain temperature of white point which the Optical
software will not allow me to adjust (Even in the curves).
I would appreciate any input, thanks.
