What is the procedure with ColorWise?
You know I still haven't played with ColorWise 2, but I've talked with many
Epson and EFI reps and never heard once of it being able to BUILD a profile.
It's really a calibration and profile management application, with the
ability to apply curves to each ink for any profile loaded as well.
Only the newer EFI RIPs allow a custom ICC profile of whatever they're
running to be implemented, so check and make sure your model allows this.
If it does, you would use the Profile Manager in ColorWise to upload the
profile, then configure the RIP defaults to assume that profile as the
target profile. You also can assign a profile as source in a simulation as
well, giving it an assignment for people in the driver like "Simulation-1"
and such, or even double-click on it and assign any CMYK input to that
profile, so it's default. ColorWise is actually a fairly well designed and
intuitive application, so you'll be comfortable soon.
But you'll need ColorSynergy or ProfileMaker Pro or somesuch to make the
profile in the first place. Pretty sure ColorWise isn't going to do that.
