there is something you forgot:
Run your CD-burner after you have done some steps.
This will probably save a lot of time later.
Tony,
did you write something of a scsi card? Is it for the
scanner or are you using it for a harddisk too?
It reminds me at troubles I had some time ago, getting
system crashes that I thought was the processor cache,
(disabling the cache solved it),but it was the scsi card.
