Strip Black Channel

We are using Heidelberg Cromagraph S3900 for our RGB color managed workflow.
Currently, we scan in CMYK TIFF, and strip the blank K channel afterward using Photoshop action.

I'm wondering if it's possible to use ColorSync AppleScript for this purpose, just stripping the Black channel without converting remaining 3 channels, and save it as RGB with scanner profile embedded. Or any other way to automate the process?
