Hi Andrew...
The file wasn't for the web. I needed to make a quick JPEG of one of my
images to email to someone. The original PS file I selected just happened
to be converted to the printer profile. I thought, what the heck, I'll leave
the printer profile embedded. It was an Epson 1200 profile created by
Profile City. And that's when I discovered that the resulting JPEG was not
the size PS6 said it should be.
I normally work in Ekta space then convert to the printer profile.
Although, I may be reaching the point where I'm re-thinking working in Ekta
space. So much gamut is lost when converting to the printer profile that
editing in Ekta space is too misleading. And too disappointing when I see
the difference in the RGB soft proof.
