I agree with Phil Cruse and Jim Rich on the 636 Crosfield scanner question. You
would be better of investing in a new Heidelberg flatbed or drum that uses their
Lino color software that is ICC compatable. I came off 15 years of Crosfield
scanning(including training from Phil, hi Phil how's things on the Isle), and
sweared I would never use a flatbed until I started using the Topaz with custom
icc profiles, the results have been excellent(beats the hell out of crosfield and
older hell models). If you do buy a used 636 make sure you don't spend over a
grand, and have great air-conditioning and lots of money for service. You may
want to talk to a British car mechanic 1st.
