Good day to everybody.
Here is a newbie inquiry.
I know that CMYK is device dependent. I already have a profile from the
press and my digital proofer. I have two ways in my mind to match the press
output from the proofer.
One way is to use the colorsync color matching to match the cmyk file (which
is generated by photoshop using the press profile in color setting) to the
digital proofer profile. Then I print the file in the digital proofer and
print the original cmyk file (did not undergo color matching) to the
imagesetter and print it in the press using the same densitometric setting
used during press profiling.
Or have the linearized prints from the proofer to be matched by the press.
I have had success in the first workflow but still needs more adjustment and
will need an autoflow to automatically match profile to profile before
printing to the proofer.
Anyway, there is still a lot of work to be done and understood. If you see
any other way that I should work with my current workflow, it would be
greatly appreciated. Even a primer will do.
Thanks and more power.
