I know this has probably been covered before; but has anyone used the Epson
5500 pro with the Fiery Rip
I am trying to buy a calibratable Epson to be used on a mac based system and
they are saying the Fiery is the deal;
Is it calibrate-able in true CMYK?
Can it be set-up to emulate offset (lithography) printing?
Has anyone had any problems with the current iteration of the Fiery rip;
Is it any different with the Fiery LX rip; Fiery X2 rip?
Is there a better rip system out there for use with the Epson line?
Avoid the Fiery. It is not worth any money that you might pay for it.
As for other RIP alternatives, it depends on the platform you want
(Mac, Win) and the use (proof, final output)
Look at BESTColor and Xitron
