What are the group's feelings regarding monitor calibrating hardware? I did
two seperate calibrations: One with the X-Rite DTP92 that we have been
using for some time now, and another with a Gretag Spectrolino. The two
produced very different results. The calibration made with the 'Lino did
not seem to be grey balanced as well. I did "white out" on the reference
tile. Is there any advantage to using a colorimeter over a
spectrophotometer or visa versa? I was expecting to get better results
using the 'lino.
I also need to purchase another monitor profiling package for remote
shoots. I hear PhotoCal with the spyder is good. Any suggestions (and I'm
on a budget here )?
