We have a Doc12 coming through the door next week. We considered the
Splash (we run Splash 1.4 on an old 5790) but are going with FieryX12
RIP. Any notes on the Doc12 would be appreciated. To date our
experience with toner-based color copier printers is limited to the
Xerox 5790 Regal and the Minolta CF910.
How do you color manage the Doc12? The scanner-based calibrations
(characterizations? targets? Curves?) over the glass appear to be
simple transfer curves? I haven't gone far enough into the
JobManagement.pdf to determine if AutoCal or ColorCal even generates
a profile for use with anything at the X12 level. ColorCal 1.4
doesn't.
Is there a way to generate third party measurement data (CM2s
spectrophotometer?) instead of buying into a DTP32?
