Yup. If you are really good at scrimming the set and can exclude any
reflected light hitting those patches then you'll be fine. It turns out I've
yet to find a studio that can meet this requirement. Shadows get real weird
when you use the glossy patches. I got far superior results when I removed
the glossy patches from the calculations.
See a recent post in Colorsync list on how to edit the data file to
remove glossy patches from being used in profile calculation.
