Hi all,
there is one thing that appears not completely clear to me and it would be
great to read about some advice. I recognized that a lot of users use adobe
rgb and other rgb-spaces as working spaces which refer to a white point of
D65 and I use them sometimes too. In consideration of the fact that LAB has
a white point of D50 and all standard measurements refer to
lightning/viewing conditions of D50 and so output profiles are therefore
D50-profiles, where is the reason of using D65 rgb spaces and monitor
calibrations/profiles or why is it generally recommended to do this and why
gives this good results, as reported? When transforming from source D65 via
PCS D50 to destination D50 with softpoof by D65, what "happens" to the white
point and related colors around? How is the white transported from profile
to profile, or is this relative?
thanks for any comments, Andre Schuetzenhofer
