When editing a profile in GM's Profile Editor, you need to remember which
direction you want to edit. In preferences, you have "Rendering" and
"Proofing". If you are using the profile as an output profile you should
select "rendering" and use a Lab image for reference. If you are using the
profile as simulation, you should check "proofing" and use a CMYK image as
reference. Do not leave the two directions "rendering and proofing" checked
at the same time because an edit in one direction will be cancelled in the
other.
