Jeff,
I have been using the Eye-one with the Eye-one Match software since
it was released at Seybold Boston and comparing it to ProfileMaker
and to the Spectrolino. The Eye-one also works with ProfileMaker. We
have profiled Epson 2000s, 5500s, 9500s, HP 2500s, Matchprints and
Laser printers.
I find it creates the almost the same (if not exactly the same)
quality profiles for scanners, monitors and printers and I find it
especially fast for creating printer profiles. It takes under ten
minutes (a conservative estimate) to measure and create a quality
printer profile. IMHO this tool should be fierce competition for the
DTP 41 and so far it seems to be a good bang for the buck.
