All the CMYK profile has in it for info is the Lab values, and what CMYK
recipes they create. This is rather like taking a "smart" page layout
application document which knows that the paragraphs are threaded, the text
is wrapped around the liiustrations, and the paragraphs drop capped, and
turning it into a PDF file which will print exactly the same page, but which
only knows that there are a bunch of elements on the page in various places,
not what tools and settings were used to put them there. So your profile will
get the required conversion results, but does not contain the information on
what settings were used to generate those results. It would be nice if the
header of a CMYK profile contained those settings, but its not required to.
