Hello:
I've just purchased a Samsung 900NF monitor. It is billed as being both Mac
and Windows compatible, but came with Windows software only. I've been to
the Samsung website looking for Mac drivers, &c, with no luck. I've also
called their tech support, and was told that when using it with a Mac I
simply plug it in; no software necessary. I'm waiting on a new G4, so
haven't hooked it up yet, but this doesn't make sense to me. It would seem
from reading the manual that covers the Windows setup that I would need
some kind of software to make any kind of adjustments (brightness,
contrast, white point, &c). This is a machine I'll be using at work; I have
a Mitsubishi 900U at home, and know that it came with software that allowed
me to set it up for a Mac. It also has specific dip switch settings for
various computers. I don't have any of this for the Samsung.
Has anybody had any experience with this, and if so, can you point me in
the right direction? Thanks.
